Post-Release Doldrums…

Posted: October 17, 2012 in Uncategorized

My new novella is finally out on Kindle, but sales have been lukewarm at best.  Really thought it would sell a bit better…  And still no word back on my short story which I revised and sent on to Dark Moon Digest.  Oh well, I did find out a tale of mine made the short list at parABnormal digest.  Good news!  And I love the people there–they’ve already published me twice, so they know good talent when they see it!  LOL  Got my fingers crossed on a number of fronts right now!  More later…

A New Release!!!

Posted: October 11, 2012 in Uncategorized

My new Kindle release, Turning It Around, a novella of about 18,000 words, just went live at Amazon!  I’m pretty psyched about it!  It’s the first time I’ve taken the plunge and self-published.  Great cover art by newcomer Allen D. Warner!  And it’s only $2.99.  If you’d like to check it out, here’s the link:

Yesterday was my birthday.  I had a nice day, relaxed, for the most part, and topped it all off with my lovely wife taking me out for a very pleasant dinner.  It sucks getting old, but as my wife always reminds me: you either get older, or you don’t.  Grim, I know.  But she never fails to gently ground me in reality when I need it most.  She’s really special.

Also managed to finish all the changes and tweaks to my short story under consideration at Dark Moon.  Sent it back last night and, with any luck, I’ll hear from them soon and hopefully be gracing the pages of their fine magazine in the near future.  We’ll see…

Fingers Crossed!!

A couple weeks ago I learned that a short story I had submitted to Dark Moon Digest had made it to the second tier of their selection process.  (WooHoo!)  Then just this morning I got back my manuscript from them with corrections, changes, suggested edits, etc.  It looked a bit daunting, but the critique appeared to be quite spot-on, for the most part.  My story would be tighter and more concise.  I guess I’ll be busy over the next few days, as I would love to appear in one of DMD‘s anthologies!

What Am I Doing?!

Posted: October 6, 2012 in Uncategorized

Hi there, to the few people in the writing world who might know me.  This is an experiment, of sorts, on my part.  My venture into the world of blogs!  I have very little idea about what I’m doing, but I will try to learn more about this and update my blog regularly.  Who knows?  Maybe I can turn my following into more than just those few people!  Hope you stick around to find out!
